What is TUCOFS?

TUCOFS, or T.U.C.O.F.S., stands for The Ultimate Collection of Forensic Software. This site places all Law Enforcement Personnel in touch with the latest and greatest Internet based resources for High Tech Law Enforcement purposes. Resource types include files, sofware, websites and documentation. TUCOFS can be used as an index pointing you to various resources, allowing you to quickly find exactly what you are looking for.

How are information resources added to the site?

All links to software and information are added to the TUCOFS site either by members of the TUCOFS research team or by request from vendors, authors or other third party providers by submitting Email to tucofs@cyberenforcement.com. All types of resources are accepted as long as they pertain to Law Enforcement, regardless of being Commercialware (software/products you buy) or Freeware (stuff that's free). Everything is considered.

What is the rating system and how does it work?

In short, the rating system provides you with an impression of the opinion of the person who submitted the resource to the TUCOFS site. By no means does TUCOFS do any initial rating of any resource. Please note, TUCOFS does reserve the right to change the rating (and any other information about any posted resource). All requests for a change should be submitted via Email to tucofs@cyberenforcement.com.

The rating system ranges from

(One Badge - lowest rank)

to

(Five Badges - highest rank).

Those resources rated with (Not Rated) are not of lowest rank. Lowest rank is indicated by One Badge. The (Not Rated) ranking is made available to allow maximum flexibility of resource management and to allow reviewers of a resource the ability to 'defer' rating to a later time.
